Here are two opportunity for clubs and club members. One is club participation in a pilot project and the other involves being able to transfer funds for Rotary Donations.

" We are calling to your attention - two imminent deadlines. 1/ Four new pilot programs will allow participating Rotary clubs to experiment with flexible membership requirements and club operations. Clubs have until 1 April 2011 to submit applications to Rotary International to be considered for a new pilot program. Information and applications will be sent to each club in early January. Up to 200 clubs will be selected for each pilot. Please see pages 22 to 25 for the new pilot program descriptions. 2/ There is a tremendous opportunity to transfer funds - up to US $100,000 from your I.R.A. (TAX-FREE) to The Rotary Foundation. Please see pages 4 to 8. There is a Deadline: Donors have until January 31 to make distributions that will be treated as if they were made in 2010. Please visit with your tax advisor.
