Bill & Melinda Gates join with our District to help reduce homelessness.

DG Bob Martin Announces Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Grant Bowman, Rose Nov 01, 2010 Dear Rotarians: It is my pleasure to announce a partnership between District 5020 and the Gates Homelessness Foundation. The purpose of this partnership is to promote an awareness of the needs of homeless families in the state of Washington and to take any steps possible to alleviate problems associated with this condition. The Gates Foundation has granted us $100K to use for this purpose. We have agreed that this money will be disbursed on a dollar for dollar matching grant basis. Grants must be a minimum of $2,500 and a maximum of $10,000 and each Club will be limited to one grant per year where they are the primary sponsor. Clubs will have until April, 2012 to complete the project, but the sooner the better. A Club must complete at least one educational program on homelessness between July 1, 2010 and the time of the grant application. Yours in Rotary,
Sponsors
